Reality does not exist

January 1, 2017

Reality only exists when we observe it. Australian researchers demonstrated this in 2015, corroborating what a logic from quantum physics tended to demonstrate in 1978.

“The delayed choice experiment illustrates how what happens in the present can change what happens(ed) in the past. It also shows how time can go backwards, how cause and effect can be reversed, and how the future caused the past. We published an article that goes into detail about it, and you can read that here.” (Source)

“A fundamental conclusion of the new physics also acknowledges that the observer creates the reality. As observers, we are personally involved with the creation of our own reality. Physicists are being forced to admit that the universe is a ’mental’ construction. Pioneering physicist Sir James Jeans wrote: ’The stream of knowledge is heading toward a non-mechanical reality; the universe begins to look more like a great thought than like a great machine. Mind no longer appears to be an accidental intruder into the realm of matter, we ought rather hail it as the creator and governor of the realm of matter. Get over it, and accept the inarguable conclusion. The universe is immaterial-mental and spiritual.’ – R.C. Henry, Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Johns Hopkins University , “The Mental Universe” ; Nature 436:29,2005) (Source)

For everyone, including Aunt Josette, this makes no sense. It doesn’t make any more sense to me. To hear both the cries of hatred and the bursts of laughter, to observe the stars and the beetles, how can we think that this reality, so coarse and magnificent, could, at the supra-atomic level, be nothing more than an illusion of the mind?

If he had had a beard, Buddha would probably have laughed silently in his fat. We know very well, we the living, that we must not put our hands in the fire, that making love makes us happy and sometimes produces babies. What do they all have to tell us that this is not, fundamentally, a question of mind? It is a little like this much-decried astrology and with what, if it is used as a reading of reality, we manage to understand the psyche of an individual since it bubbles in this great maliciously quantum soup that overwhelms us all.

Help yourself and the sky will help you, said the first astrologer. Participate in the universe and you will surf on waves bigger than your existence.

It is the promise of a God, it is the manifestation of our ignorance.

In fifty, or a hundred years from now, if the planet has not had enough of us, we may come to another description of reality, an understanding so deep that we will stop caring about our finiteness for not having stopped feeding a maze of possibilities. Who knows. But you, my father, my mother, my sisters, we will already be the memory of those who took over.

Good if reality only exists in our hearts. It must be realized—Ah!—fully in this new year.

Peace to all of you.
